Understand our built environment through space, structure, materials and design
Children’s curiosity rarely follows the boundaries between school subjects.
They may suddenly wonder why a building stays standing, how a robot moves, how a small business works, how a performance comes together, or how an ordinary outdoor space can become a garden.
Dexin hopes to gradually connect schools, businesses, organizations, community groups and professionals from different fields, turning real-world knowledge and experience into learning resources children can explore, understand, practise and communicate.
Start with children’s interests and move toward meaningful learning, collaboration and growth

Canada Dexin Academy has begun collaborating with Xinflix Business Alliance.
Building on this first partnership, we look forward to exploring learning projects with more schools, businesses, organizations, community groups and professionals, helping children use Chinese, understand the world and develop broader abilities through meaningful real-world contexts.
Children are rarely interested in only “language,” “science,” or “mathematics.”
A meaningful question often connects language, knowledge, lived experience, hands-on practice, and collaboration.
When children genuinely want to understand something, people who work in that field can become valuable learning resources.
Understand our built environment through space, structure, materials and design
Explore how mechanics, programming and invention can solve problems
Understand products, costs, service, communication and operations
Develop creativity and expression through stories, roles, music, visuals and performance
Learn persistence and teamwork through skills, training and rules
Discover the world nearby through plants, environments, public space and community life
These are examples of fields Dexin may explore in the future. Specific projects will be designed around available collaboration resources, student ages and learning goals.
Invite someone working in a field to share experience, show real examples and answer children’s questions.
Design age-appropriate observation, exploration or making around a professional field.
Begin with a specific question and move through discussion, practice, revision and presentation.
Develop a tested and refined project into more consistent learning content.
Give children opportunities to share their work, process and ideas with families, collaborators or the community.
One conversation can be a starting point, and one good question can gradually grow into a complete project
The following cases illustrate Dexin’s approach to project design. They do not indicate that every project has already launched.
Why does a house stay standing?
One question about a house can connect observation, design, engineering, collaboration and expression.
How could I make a space more beautiful?
What if we designed our own small shop?
Robotics projects connect building, testing, revising and presenting with Chinese communication.
Theatre projects bring story, character, language, collaboration and public expression into one connected experience.

Dexin organizes this material around children’s ages, Chinese levels and learning goals so they can understand, discuss, practise and communicate it.
Together, both sides identify a question children can genuinely participate in and shape the tasks, activities, outcomes and ways of sharing.
Professional knowledge comes from the real world; learning design helps children genuinely take part
A conversation or project for children allows professionals to express years of knowledge and experience in ways the next generation can understand.
For schools, businesses, organizations and community groups, it is also a way to participate in local education, connect with families and the next generation, and contribute professional value to the community.
Help children see real professions and experience
Help children discover wider possibilities for learning and growth
Build stronger links among educators, families and the wider world
Begin with one activity and discover forms of longer-term collaboration that fit children
Tell us about your field, strengths, and the experience or resources you may wish to share.
Identify ideas children can understand, participate in and investigate.
Dexin shapes the activity and project structure around child development, Chinese learning and project education, while collaborators help refine professional content.
Begin with a sharing session, experience or small project and observe children’s interest and learning.
Adjust based on the experience, then explore deeper or more sustained possibilities.
Start with children’s interests and move toward meaningful learning, collaboration and growth
If you represent a school, business, organization or community group—or would like to share your professional experience with the next generation—we welcome you to contact us and explore a form of collaboration that is meaningful for children.
A collaboration does not need to begin as a complete course. A professional conversation, hands-on experience, real question or small project can all become a new starting point.
